Great. I have no words to describe it as Jonas hasn't when he starts feeling.

I have read this book before watching the movie and I have to tell you that the book wasn't as good as the movie. The director did the best to help to pass the emotions to the watcher. I could feel as Jonas did.

This film gives us a realization about how rich we are. We all have this wealth within us, it's surrounding us, but we don't realize that. The world has possessed us with it and sometimes one says the life cruel. I tell you why, because it needs to show you what you have and you don't appreciate it. Just look around, muse, and you'll see it, you'll see the happiness, the Love. Just hold on to it tightly, don't let it fade away.

The Giver - Reviewed

Imagining the world without feelings is creepy, a tremor runs through the whole body. People are like zombies, programmed robots - to eat, to sleep and to work.

The world becomes black and white, but Jonas, from time to time, sees colors. He doesn't know what the color is until he's selected as A Memory Receiver. The previous Memory Holder (The Giver) gives him his memories and feelings and Jonas realizes how large the world is, how many things have been taken away from people. He loves the feelings and wants to pass them to the others, to open their eyes.

What makes me to rate this book 3 stars. You find yourself in a world of future, in a community without the real life, but you end up in the same world in the end. It's interesting passing through the feelings with Jonas, but it wasn't enough as the story ends in the most interesting moment. You want more, you want to know what lies ahead, whether the people of community have received the feelings and began to see the real world.

I know, a lot of readers like it, because the book is written to well, the description of the feelings was amazing, but the real actions were missing.

Slow Burn - Slow Flow

I think zombi-lovers can find the idea of this book interesting. As it starts you're already in the full story. Though I could say the first chapter runs too fast and the happening take place faster than I expected.

Zed goes to his mother's place and finds his stepdad eating his mother. Then he attacks Zed and bites him, but the interesting flow of this story is that Zed doesn't turn into zombi, he's some kind of immune. I can't say for sure, as the first book doesn't bring me a clue who Zed has turned. And then everything begins as in every zombi-story - the disease starts spreading and fast.

What I didn't like is the flow and the style of writing. It's my own opinion, you may like Bobby Adair's pen.

And the disappointment was that I didn't find any answer in the first book, like it was unfinished, just cut in the middle and parted into two books. Author gives you clue what he's going to tell you, what kind of questions he's going to put before you, but the answers can be find nowhere. Maybe in the next books. That's why I rate it 3 stars.

The Fog - If you want something different

I found something which is worth to read - story which isn't like the others. There are a lot of books nowadays with the same meaning surrounded by different heroes. The fog wasn't like them.

Here we get in the story with an earthquake taking place in a little village. From the cracks on the ground rise yellowish fog, outwardly not dangerous, but it has intended to kill, the most dangerous enemy of mankind comes out from under the ground.

Nobody realizes that at first and the fog travels over England bringing death. Everybody who breathes it, becomes insane, there is something in the fog which is able to change human's brain and makes people to kill their beloved, family members, even commit suicide. And no camouflage can protect you against the fog.

Very good read, interesting one. The annoying moment was that you could read and learn almost one character's whole life and then that person just died, get killed or committed suicide.

When I picked up this book I was expecting something new, but instead I found disappointments. First, I had a strange sensation that the FBI agents in this book look stupid idiots. They are agents who protect the president of The United States, how could they behave like they were described in this book. And they are FBI agents, Federal, and as far as I know those agents don't wast time to find killers or any swindler if that person doesn't mean any danger to the nation, to the country. This is the job of detectives and the police.

But, let's put all these aside. The story flows, though there were chapters dragging you far away from the main story. We deal with a serial killer, who, being a doctor becomes smarter than any agent. It's some kind of unbelievable thing.

After being kidnapped an then happening to escape, Lizzy tries to get flow among the normal life, but the horrible things she was through don't let her. She still dreams about the monster abducted her, the hideous things he did to her. And now, after 14 years he's back. He wants revenge because Lizzy managed to escape.

Now Lizzy has to go through the same again, but this time her beloved Jared is beside her. She fells a little protected and she's determined to put the end of her fear once and for all.

Sometimes the chapters end at the very interesting moment, like I was through a Latino serial, and then the next one started somewhere far. This irritated me, but I kept reading as I usually don't put books aside until it's done.

This is only my opinion. This book has got a lot of good reviews, and it still may be a good one for other readers. But I know one strong thing - not any writer can write something related to real life, it's very hard as it's impossible to know everything about real life. Real life doesn't flow like a Hollywood movie.
